The ''Related Discourses'' (Ch. 雜阿含經, Skt. Saṃyukta Āgama, P. Saṃyutta Nikāya), sometimes also called the Linked or Connected Discourses, is a large collection of short sūtras arranged by subject. There are two complete versions of the Related Discourses that are extant: The Pali version of the Theravāda and the Chinese translation of the Sarvâstivāda version. This article covers the Chinese version of this sūtra collection as found in the ''Taisho Daizokyo'' (T99) as it was revised by Chinese scholar Yinshun in his ''Combined Edition of the Related Discourses and Commentary'' (henceforth, ''CSA'') (雜阿含經論會編).

The main differences between the Taisho edition and Yinshun's ''CSA'' are organizational. The ''Taisho'' edition's numbering (1,362 sūtras) doesn't match Yinshun's numbering in ''CSA'' (13,412 sūtras) because the Taisho often fails to count variant sūtras described in notes throughout the translation. Yinshun also corrected the order of the fascicles in the ''Taisho'' edition, which were jumbled at some point in the past and copied out of order afterward. This confusion likely stemmed from the fact that the translation lacked any division headings. The saṃyukta divisions found in ''CSA'' are derived from detailed descriptions of the Sarvâstivāda ''Saṃyukta Āgama'' in other Chinese sources like Asaṅga's ''Yogâcārabhūmi''. In addition to these organizational changes, Yinshun also critically edited the ''Taisho'' edition's text.

Below is a table of the contents of the ''Related Discourses'' as found in Yinshun's ''CSA''. Clicking the saṃyukta links will jump to a table of individual sutras found in that division (these tables are currently a work-in-progress).

Note that the Taisho's numbering doesn't match Yinshun's because the Taisho often lists variant sutras under their parent text while Yinshun documents every identifiable sutra. He also reconstructed the correct order of the fascicles in the Taisho edition, which were apparently jumbled at some point in the past.

Parallels listed in () are either only similar or they share templates with the subject but don't appear to be direct parallels. For example, SĀ 1.1-10 have SĀ 2.1-10 listed as similar parallels because the same template is applied to the aggregates in SĀ 1 as is applied to the sense fields in SĀ 2.

The Related Discourses (Ch. 雜阿含經, Skt. Saṃyukta Āgama, P. Saṃyutta Nikāya), sometimes also called the Linked or Connected Discourses in English, is a large collection of short sūtras arranged by subject. There are two complete versions of the Related Discourses that are extant: The Theravāda version preserved in Pali and the Sarvâstivāda version preserved in classical Chinese translation. This article covers the Chinese version of this sūtra collection as found in the Taisho Daizokyo (T99) and revised by Chinese scholar Yinshun in his Combined Edition of the Saṃyukta Āgama and Commentary (CSA, 雜阿含經論會編).

The main differences between the Taisho edition and Yinshun's CSA are organizational. The Taisho edition's numbering (1,362 sūtras) doesn't match Yinshun's numbering in CSA (13,412 sūtras) because the Taisho often fails to count variant sūtras described in notes throughout the translation. Yinshun also corrected the order of the fascicles in the Taisho edition, which were jumbled at some point in the past and copied out of order afterward. This confusion likely stemmed from the fact that the translation lacked any division headings. The saṃyukta divisions found in CSA are derived from detailed descriptions of the Sarvâstivāda Saṃyukta Āgama in other Chinese sources like Asaṅga's Yogâcārabhūmi. In addition to these organizational changes, Yinshun also critically edited the Taisho edition's text.
