The Turning the Dharma Wheel Sutra (Ch. 轉法輪經, Skt. Dharmacakrapravartana Sūtra, P. Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta) was considered by all schools of Buddhism to be the Buddha's first sermon to his first five disciples. There are at least two versions of this sutra that exist, each of which have slight variations depending on their canonical tradition. The simplest version introduces the teaching of the four noble truths, while another version combines this teaching with that of the middle way.
